Prepare your minds to be blasted to new dimensions at this upcoming Shift Thursday at Cervantes with ultra-talented producers, Abelation and Shanghai Doom. Bringing a jam-packed lineup of experimental excellence, The Death Mechanics Tour has finally reached Denver, and you won’t want to miss this special show.
First on the lineup is the extraordinary producer, Patrick Skyler, known for integrating rap and hip-hop with grimy bass and glitch hop. Be there right at doors to experience his peculiar approach to dubstep.
Next up is Detroit-based creator and DJ, Dêtre. Also known for his hip-hop influence, Dêtre is a compelling force to be reckoned with in the realm of bass music. His new collaboration, “Lightspeed” with Shanghai Doom is a certified anthem of dissonant synths, hybrid beats, and diverse, heavy basslines with vocals.

Playing as direct support is the artistic, iconic Sharlitz Web. This enigmatic producer is sure to catch you in her spellbinding web of venomous frequencies and supernatural vibrations. Her liquid bass and dark melodies have found themselves on both WAKAAN and SSKWAN labels. Make sure to catch this otherworldly, entangling set.

Now for the main acts, Shanghai Doom is a rising bass duo from Central Jersey, blending dark tones and heavy basslines in their unique style. The pair is starting to dominate the scene, gaining support from dubstep’s finest artists including Liquid Stranger, LSDREAM, Zeds Dead, Excision and a Mastery Clan favorite, Mr. Carmack. Between their crisp sound design and undeniably great energy, these tastemakers create the perfect atmosphere for bass heads and experimental dubstep lovers. Don’t miss out on their set either this Thursday, it’s going to be outrageously good.

Last but certainly not least, headliner Abelation is a fascinating innovator and a personal favorite. His genre-defying sound design offers a fresh perspective on electronic music. Abelation was a young music prodigy, beginning his producing career as early as 15 years old. His deep melodies and synths transform listeners, taking them through a celestial journey. Here’s what he had to tell us about his set this week in Denver:

“Denver is one of my all time favorite places to play and I’m so excited to have the tour stop there! Hyped to play lots of new music at Cervantes and perform with such a stacked lineup! It’s surreal to be headlining the show with Shanghai Doom bois! I just dropped my full EP this past Friday and have a special announcement coming out this Friday! Much love.” - Abelation.
If you haven’t bought tickets already, what are you waiting for? This stacked show is just a couple days away so get them while you still can. The boys are also bringing extra production with a full LED wall and lasers. Tickets can be found here!
See you there!
